    Long Service

    President Lion Geoff Lynd presented service awards to three long serving Members at the November 2020 Dinner Meeting. Between the three their service amounts to 125 years.

    Pump & Jump Park Working Bee

    While the Pump & Jump track has been in use for nearly 6 months some finishing touches have been added over the last few weeks.

    Benches and stands for bikes have been installed and some minor landscaping has also been conducted; grass sown and back filling some areas off the tracks.

    A good turn up of Members completed this work recently.

    MND Walk

    On Sunday March 1st 2020 the local MND Support Group participated in the National Walk to d'Feet MND fundraiser to help families who are affected by MND. Ulverstone Lions Club donated $1000 to the cause and Lion Brian McKenna presented the cheque to the local Organisor Janine Stephens.
    Lions Laurie Beaven and Barry Smith had the bbq going with sausages and onions for the participants as they returned from their walk.

    Australia Day Breakfast in the Park

    Central Coast Council conduct an Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony which also includes recognizing Community Leaders. The Council supply breakfast for the local community with the Ulverstone Lions and other Service Clubs doing the cooking.

    2020 : 41st Lions Tasmania Convention

    Come and join us in Launceston for the 41st 201T1 Convention.
    The convention will be held at the Tramsheds, November 6 - 8.
    This is an unusual year and as such we have a modified program.

    2019 : The 40th Annual Convention for Lions District T1

    The 40th annual convention for Lions Tasmania will be hosted by the Glenorchy City Lions Club. Members are invited to register for the convention which is based at the King George V Convention Centre and will run November 8th - 10th.

    Mersey-Devonport Lions Club will host the 2018 Lions Tasmania District 201T1 Convention in Devonport.
    Registration forms are now available on line, along with information about the venues, accommodation options and sight-seeing.
